Each uAlign message delivered in a channel has its own due date, which can be either a fixed date (i.e. Friday, 10/09/2015) or a 'rolling' date (i.e. 10 days from delivery). Similarly, each multi-message campaign has its own due date, which can be either a fixed date or a 'rolling' date.When deciding whether a message or campaign should have a fixed date or a rolling date, consider whether or not you anticipate that newcomers will need the same access to the message or campaign in the future.
Messages and campaigns with fixed due dates are best used when the information you want to convey is 'timely' and must be completed by a specific date regardless of when the recipient receives the message. The fixed due date ensures that everyone is aligned to the need to complete the time-sensitive message or campaign by the same explicit due date.
Messages and campaigns with rolling dates are best used when the information you want to convey is 'timeless' and is likely to be just a relevant to newcomers as it is to current recipients. Rolling due dates allow new subscribers to have the full duration to complete the messages, regardless of when they subscribed to the channel or campaign. uAlign will continue to deliver rolling messages to all new subscribers of a channel or campaign indefinitely, unless/until the author stops delivery of the message.
